Had a first interview with recruiter. Unfortunately, it was a negative experience as I was ghosted and never heard back after my first round. I had my call with the recruiter, she told me she would get back to me by the end of the week with an update if I would move forward, when I didn't hear by the following week I emailed to follow up and never heard back, I sent another follow up email and again never heard back. As a courtesy please send an automated or template rejection email just out of respect and courtesy to candidates. It was a negative experience based on this. Also, the recruiter spent more time talking about the role and company than getting to know me as a candidate. She spent more time talking than asking or listening. Although it is nice to get an understanding of the team and role, this was a lot for a first interaction and was very unbalanced. I did not feel that she really learned anything about me as a candidate, my capabilities or what I would bring to the table, so the interview didn't seem valuable or useful in that regard. The few questions that were asked were basic CS questions like how many accounts have you managed and talk about an escalation.
