When shortlisted, the recruiter contacts the candidate by phone for a brief interview. The same recruiter will also be the defence point through this process, always available for the candidate to resolve any doubts and able to suggest the best course of action. The company is very clear regarding pay, hours and level of commitment required for the position.
If the process moves forward, the first 1:1 interview explores the Company's mission and philosophy and how the candidate could be a match. Knowledge of Shepper's strengths, weaknesses and position are absolute requirements.
If a second interview is offered, the technical aspects of the job and the expected skillset of the candidate are analysed in detail with the appropriate senior management . Whatever the candidate was required to know for the first interview is not sufficient: a successful candidate needs to have a solid grasp of the subject, an understanding of the expected challenges that she/he could face on a daily basis and the possible solutions.
Once the second interview is successful, the hiring process is largely bureaucratic and clearly explained by the HR department.
