Shift seems to be a great company, however, they really do need to work on their interviewing strategies. Got through an initial phone interview which followed up with a pre-recorded video interview (which I thought was very awkward) and finally led to the in person interview at their offices. When I first arrived, I got very unpleasant stares from all the employees as in "who is this guy" and had to stand there with no help until the receptionist returned a few minutes later. As for the interview, I thought it was quite unprofessional because I had two interviewers both dressed in normal street clothing while I was asked to dress professionally and started the interview asking if I'm interviewing for a job position that I did not apply for. Second interviewer pretty much came in and asked the exact same questions, hence you have to answer everything twice.

Initial phone screen from corporate recruiter, followed by an on-site interview. Phone screen asked normal questions and just walked through your resume. The on-site interview was with the General Manager and consisted of normal interview questions, mostly concerned with culture fit. They are not looking for any previous experience and the position pay and duties reflect that.
