I was originally contacted around 10 pm to chat, and the person I was interviewing with didn't have availability for several days. I thought the interview itself was fine. I was told to email with any questions and that I'd hear at the end of the week in terms of next steps. The other unfortunate areas were that I did have a follow up question I emailed right after the screen, but it was never answered. I was rejected end of week, but it was like 8pm. As a recruiter myself, I would never tell someone to email me if they have a question and then think, well, we're rejecting them anyway so no need to answer. You never know when a candidate will be a fit for your next opening so it's good to start off on the right foot.
