I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Snowflake (New York, NY) in Jun 2023
Interview
Recruiter call> HM call> technical screen> onsite> debrief> offer> they only send offer out once verbally accepted. Overall it was pretty straightforward .
They focus a lot on impact and complexity you solved. Don't forget to clarify the level you are interviewing for as they are very strict on levels

Interview
I spoke with Hiring Manager for an individual contributor recruiter role and prepared against the job description. Without informing me or sending a new or modified job description she asked about my previous experience as a manager which I haven’t done in 6 yrs. Questions were detailed for manager role and I couldn’t recall specifics of my experience. I did poorly and ultimately received the generic decline email.
If the manager would’ve giving me some notice about her interest in me as a manager I would’ve been able to prepare. I can do the job but if you’re going to interview me for something I wasn’t prepared for then yes, I won’t answer the questions well. Bad form Snowflake. Set me up to fail.

Question 1
Most challenging role I filled
What kind of roles did I fill
What KPIs did I share for QBRs
Very odd recruitment process here. Unstructured questions which seemed to be asked randomly and not questions relevant to the position. Seems like a disorganized company based on my experience. We only talked about how to get FAANG employees in there, so if you are non FAANG, I wouldn’t waste my time applying here.
