It was two rounds. the hiring manager and other team members. They were friendly and had a conversational interview. They encouraged me to learn more and improve my profile. They helped me with the process.

Question 1
They were interested in my previous work experience.
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Solid Biosciences (Charlestown, MA)
Interview
The interview process took 8 weeks in total. I submitted a cold application, interviewed with a recruiter, then hiring manager, then received an on-site interview invite. The on-site was scattered and poorly organized. The presentation was also scheduled for the end of the day, rather than the beginning. One interviewer was 20 minutes late to our 30 minute slot, and two of interviewers were completely remote. HR forgot to place a lunch order for me, so the hiring manager offered theirs instead. A/V issues also popped up recurrently.
Three weeks after the interview, I received an email form rejection from HR saying they were moving forward with candidates whose "skills and experience" better align with this position.
I had a great experience during the first round of interviews. The process was smooth, and the interviewer was professional and approachable. Most of the questions were behavioral, focusing on past experiences, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. The interviewer seemed genuinely interested in understanding my background and how I approach different situations. Overall, it was a positive and comfortable conversation.
