I interviewed at South Jersey Industries (Atlantic City, NJ)
Interview
Started with a phone screen. Interviewer called two hours early and then called me back an hour late. I tried calling in the middle with no response. Proceeds to a virtual interview where I was interviewed by 4 people and was told they would contact me and let me know if I got the position. Then I was ghosted.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at South Jersey Industries in Sept 2025
Interview
I applied in early August and had a phone screen with the recruiter in early September. I then had a manager interview in mid-September, followed by a committee interview in late September. All interviews were conducted via Teams and were very professional and well-organized.
The recruiter was extremely transparent and communicative throughout the process—very responsive and clear about next steps. While I ultimately didn’t get the role, I really enjoyed the experience and appreciated the chance to connect with smart, thoughtful interviewers who asked excellent questions.
I know the job market is tough right now, but I really appreciate how SJI manages a well-developed hiring process: timely, communicative, and respectful of candidates’ time.

How do you engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and success?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at South Jersey Industries in Mar 2025
Interview
Recruiter screen followed by 30 min 1st round virtual interview. Recruiter followed up to say it went well and they'd schedule next steps. After a week, recruiter reached out to say they moved on to other candidates without scheduling me. Frustrating process as a job-seeker.
