A few days after applying online, the hiring manager emailed to set up an interview. I emailed back my availability, and was a bit surprised to read a reply in which I was called by another candidate's name. Human error, understood. But I also then wondered whether I was the candidate he meant to interview after all. He assured me yes, and so we met soon afterward.
