TL;DR: Extremely unprofessional
After applying online, I was contacted several weeks later via text for a screening. The message lacked clarity - no confirmed date was given, only a time, and the meeting invite was sent less than an hour before the screening itself.
From the beginning, the screening felt disorganized and unprofessional. The interviewer did not introduce himself, clarify his role, or explain the purpose of the screening. I had been asked to prepare slides on extremely short notice, and was told to begin without any context. Throughout the call, the interviewer appeared disengaged and distracted. When it came time for his questions, they were poorly articulated and met with hostility when I tried to get more information or respond thoughtfully.
When I asked questions at the end to better understand the role, company, and team, I received evasive non-answers. After several attempts to learn more, it finally became clear that the screening had nothing to do with any of the roles I had applied for - it was for a different position in an entirely separate division that he never explained (even after I asked).
Overall, the whole process was very unprofessional and disorganized.
