Spence School interview questions

I met with two people whose titles I will not disclose to protect anonymity. I had one interview, and after contacting my references, they told me they went with another candidate. From the interview, it sounded like they weren't keen on me, which is fine. But in that case, I would have appreciated that they not have contacted my references in the first place.
