Since the new company known as “Kincentric” does not yet have a Glassdoor page this was the closest page I could comment on. I was called for a phone by a woman and I will not share her name. THe role was for a “sales enablement lead” She starts off by calling me for my interview and she introduces herself and tells me she wants me to walk me her through my resume so I start and I asked her if she had my resume so she could follow she said “of course” so as I am breaking down and explaining my resume she cuts me off and says “yeah I don’t think you’re going to be a good fit here for this role” first of all, we’re like maybe 3 minutes into the conversation. Secondly, if you had my resume in front of you and “I wasn’t a good fit” why did you waste your time and my time by even having a phone discussion. Clearly she either didn’t look at my resume or had a metric of so many interviews she had to conduct and this was just formality. Also, we never even got to the job description that I was applying for so aside from the description that was provided on the listing or company history. So as I’m taken a back by this She tells me “this is like selling a consultation” I’m thinking to myself ok and? I read the description and it matched everything that I’ve been doing for the last 10 years with fortune companies. So perhaps this company is looking for something that is extremely specific in which case maybe revise the job posting. So we finish with her asking my what my wage expectations are and I kindly told her that since I’m relocating and the market is a night and day difference if she could give me a range and her response is “yeah I don’t give that out, but if you tell me what your expectations are I can tell you if we’re in the right range” Ok again, there’s a much more professional way to say that but I guess cat and mouse it is so I proceed to give her my number and she didn’t even tell me if it’s in the range or not so she Blatantly lied and when I gave her my answer she follows up with “ok well I’ll pass this along to the hiring manager and if they wish to proceed we’ll reach back out by Friday and if you don’t hear back then we’ve decided to go in a different direction. And don’t worry since you’re relocating at this time of year the market will be booming after the first of the year”
This had to be a 6 minute call maybe
Absolutely horrid customer service skills for anyone let alone an HR REP. spoke over me, cut me off, delivered no details on the actual job so honestly I wouldn’t know if I was a good fit or not other than this experience and the job posting but I will say this. I’m not expecting a call from them to move forward after that disappointing and disaster of a phone “interview” but even if they do I’ll gladly tell them I’m not interested.
