Warning Ghosts Candidates I received an invitation from a Spot INC recruiter via LinkedIn to interview for the Carrier Account Manager position located in Chicago, Illinois. Following our initial contact, the recruiter and I arranged a phone screening, which appeared to progress seamlessly. After an in-person interview was scheduled at the downtown Chicago office for the upcoming Monday. During the interview, I put forth my best effort and left with a sense of confidence in my performance. Towards the end of our conversation, the recruiter assured me that I should anticipate receiving feedback by the upcoming Friday. To demonstrate my interest in the role, I sent a thank-you letter to the interviewer the next day. With my expression of gratitude, I included valuable information regarding my prior customer relationships and potential leads that I could bring to the table. Despite the set timeframe, I found myself awaiting any form of communication by the promised Friday. Frustratingly, ten days later, on the subsequent Thursday, I decided to reach out to inquire about the status of my application, yet my inquiry was met with silence. This experience left me with a sense of disappointment and uncertainty. While I had high hopes for the opportunity at Spot INC, the lack of communication and follow-up left me with questions about the organization's commitment to its candidates. I extensively researched the company and position, dedicated time and effort to attend the interview, and came prepared with valuable insights. I maintained punctuality, responsiveness, and professionalism throughout. A response acknowledging my application status falls under common decency. Due to the lack of communication, I have withdrawn my application. --- Update --- After sending my application withdrawal I received one hour later a generic "Unfortunately, we have decided not to proceed with your candidacy for the current opening at Spot Inc." Seemingly to mock withdrawing my candidacy due to a lack of response. Also implying that my previous outreach was viewed and ignored. Does not seem like a good place to apply.

Very smooth and always someone you can reach out to for help with anything regarding the interview process. Took about 3 weeks total from application to final offer and was quite easy.
