I applied online. I interviewed at Stand Together in Jun 2026
Interview
It's not ok to be grilled and spoken down at for an initial interview. I understood what the organization does and was asked questions that had nothing to do with the role. 20 minutes before we were going to get into who I am...when people say it is a cult-like experience, that's the vibe I got from the recruiter who sounded like she was reading a script. "Do you happen to be on the website"? To ask those questions and not do a video interview even? Terrible candidate experience, and I didn't even complete the interview.

I applied online. I interviewed at Stand Together (Ballston, VA)
Interview
Very streamlined and thoughtful process. An internal recruiter reached out, did a phone interview, and then a Zoom interview with possible colleagues, and finalized with an in-person. Definitely vetting candidates based on their ideals and how they would work passionately towards the mission.

Question 1
What in Stand Together's mission do you find alignment with?
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad the interview process felt thoughtful and streamlined. We’re intentional about exploring mission alignment and how candidates want to contribute, since our work depends on people who are energized by empowering others.
The process began with a screening conversation with a recruiter followed by a series of panel type interviews. The process was well organized that the recruiter provided quite a bit of education information to learn about the organization.
