I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Stop & Shop
Interview
A relative works in the store. This person asked the manager to look at my application first. I came in after school (I was 16) for about 20 minutes and talked to the manager about school. I came in later that week to get the paperwork sorted, and that was it. I was hired pretty much from the moment I walked in the door.

Question 1
Nothing really. I was told I had to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Brought a resume in to the interview, was hired on the spot based on prior experience in grocery/cashiering. Was not expecting to be hired on the spot. They explained the union situation and that was about it.
Very quick interview. Interviewer was friendly. Asked about availability and stressed the importance of stop and shop being a union. You will be hired as long as you are friendly polite and can demonstrate a positive attitude towards customers. Experience a plus.
I met with the store manager at the store. The interview was very easy and informative. We went over their benefits and what is like to work there. I had been a cashier before so I knew what would have been expected.
