One month after applying, a Talent Acquisition Partner reached out to me for a screening call. The call was very nice, the person explained the next steps, the company, and the role. The conversation went well, and at the end she said she would let me know by the end of the week to schedule the next interview with the hiring manager. A week passed and I heard nothing. A few more days passed, and I sent an email asking for a follow-up. Complete silence. Another 10 days passed (20 days after our initial call), and she said the hiring manager was already in an advanced stage with another candidate when she first called me. A bit of professionalism and respect for my time would have been nice. Very poor communication and organization. What a waste.
