Approached by an external recruiter and immediately passed on to a second one, after a lot of back and forth I finally got a tech test, it took a lot of ironing out because the tech test asked for a lot but mentioned a hard 4 hour deadline - The tech test itself took me around 6-8 hours to complete and it did mention that incomplete tech tests can be submitted so I outlined additionals that I'd have added to the test if I had more time permitting as I think it's unfair to expect 10+ hours for an unpaid technical assignment (for reference I estimated the full thing and a week of solid development time is most likely how long it would have taken). Annoyingly the feedback I got seemed to have implied that my pull request description wasn't read as everything that they'd outlined in "bad" were things that I had mentioned I would add if more time was available
