      Brand Manager Interview

      19 May 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Saint Louis, MO
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Studio C5 (Saint Louis, MO)

      Interview

I interviewed for a Brand Manager position and would go on to work for the company for some time. In a matter of months after I was hired, we were in search of additional team members, so I was able to sit in on some interviews from the other perspective. It was then that I realized that there were several deceptive aspects to the way that the CEO ran the interviews. The most prominent example would be that the CEO will ask interviewees, "What do you do on the weekends?" This is his way of figuring out if your time on Sundays includes going to church. If he finds out that you do go to church, you have automatically gained favor. If you do not mention attending church, he will be biased against you. Additionally, the CEO is openly biased against women. He openly stated on several occasions that he believed that men were more intelligent and that he needed to get more men in the office. Needless to say, this is all very unethical, if not illegal.
