I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Summit Biolabs (Denver, CO) in Feb 2021
Interview
I was contacted by the recruiting firm Goldstone partners to set up an interview with this company. The interview process was 3 or 4 rounds of meeting with the higher ups and leaders of the lab. It was very pleasant and cordial with active communication. The interviews went well and I got an offer letter which I accepted immediately and put in my 2 weeks at my current job which I was reluctant to do as I enjoy my current job. However, after I sent the offer letter in there was about a week of radio silence with no replies to the multiple emails and messages I sent A day later I receive a call from goldstone partners saying the offer has been rescinded with "bad references" as the reason. I don't suppose I need to explain that most people do not put coworkers and managers they think will give them a bad reference as references. Either way I had to walk back into my old boss's office and ask for my old job back. I have to say, during a world wide pandemic it was not the best position to be put in, but I suppose that's business.
