Please screen your candidates properly. Interview could’ve been an email instead of wasting the candidate’s time.
1. TA dropped a text at 1AM to ask screening questions and none of the screening questions are specific to the current role’s actual knowledge requirement other than general customer service experience.
2. TA chased the candidate to answer their screening questions as if they’re eager to close the deal.
3. Without asking the candidate’s availability at first, the TA scheduled an interview on the very same day. TA even insisted that the interview needs to be done on the very same day.
4. TA said in the interview their client insisted on a candidate with at least few months experience on trading even though this specific requirement was NOT DISCLOSED during screening question.
5. TA had the gall to ask if candidate has references for them instead since TA wont employ the candidate. Are you serious?
You chased, insisted to interview on the same day even though candidate initially said they couldn’t and all that just for the TA to say “oh you dont have that one niche requirment tho, so we cant proceed but do you have references?”
This whole thing just screamed “TA wants to achieve their target quota instead of properly interviewing” hence the emergency interview.
While TA was polite, the bad experience outweighed it. Screen properly before arranging a google meet just to waste people’s time. I should’ve just cancelled and went back to sleep.
