I applied for a network administration position that was posted in March 2019 and was contacted May 2019. My first interview was done over the phone with Sun Federal's HR manager and another networking admin. The questions regarded my intimate knowledge of credit unions and then covered my background initial interests within the position. The phone interview must have went well because I received an email the following day to schedule an in-person interview. There were some background documentation to fill out and a written assignment to hand in prior to the first interview. At first I thought this was a little strange, but the requirement was only a half page and I do enjoy writing. When in-person I met again with the same individuals, and the interview covered mainly our phone discussion, amplifying past experiences and eventually covered Sun Federal's environment. Again, everything must have gone well because around 7pm at night I was contacted to see if I was able to meet with their CIO/CTO the following morning. This 3rd interview mainly covered mock scenarios, and general networking questions. They told me they were hoping to make a discussion regarding the hire by next week. After not hearing any progress, I reached out after 18 days to no avail. I assumed after three interviews I would at least be contacted with a courtesy rejection email. After three weeks April contacted me back informing me they have yet to make a decision and she would inform me of any progress. A month later and I believe they have re-posted this position and after I reached out informed me I would not be filling the position. No harm done, but please after three interviews have the courtesy to initiate a rejection, and not forty one days after the first interview.
