      Proposal Specialist Interview

      17 Jun 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at TDIndustries in May 2026

      Interview

I had two rounds of interviews. The first was a general phone call to screen candidates, which went well. The recruiter was kind, informative, and prompt with their communication. The recruiter liked my background and skills, and had me schedule a meeting with another interviewer within a week of submitting my application. This interview was particularly difficult. The interviewer started the meeting with an intense and annoyed energy, and seemed more interested in lecturing candidates about the job instead of having a conversation with them. When I was occasionally asked a question regarding my background and what I would do in a given situation, I was interrupted every single time. Each interruption was accompanied by a long explanation about why the team operates as they do. The interviewer was notably persistent about commitment to the company, which is understandable, but outright said that all-nighters were a regular occurrence for their team and to expect a similar workload. This sentiment was startling as the recruiter informed me the position was opening to allow for better work-life balance on the team. The interviewer seemed very stressed and overworked, but the way that they approached the interview read as if they did not wish to hire anyone for the role. I heard back within a few days that I was not selected. I promptly responded to thank the recruiter for their time and asked for an interview review, which I did not receive.
