I had a genuinely positive experience during the interview process. The interviewers were professional, friendly, and gave me a great impression of the company culture. The process felt well-organised, and I appreciated the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations about the role and their company goals.
However, sometime after the final interview, I was informed that the weekly working hours for the role would be increased beyond what was originally discussed, therefore making it an opportunity that I didn't wish to progress with. This change was frustrating, as it’s something that would have been known in advance of my interview and could have been shared much earlier in the process. Had this information been disclosed from the beginning, it would have saved time on both sides and allowed for more transparency in setting expectations.
I do hope the company improves its upfront communication on key job details moving forward.
