      Program Manager Interview

      15 Jan 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Bedford, IN
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TRISTAR (Bedford, IN) in Sept 2012

      Interview

I found the position via Indeed. I completed the online application and then contacted an associate that worked at the company. I then discovered that he was involved in the recruiting process. Scheduled an interview at the corporate office within a week. Met with my contact and the Division Manager via phone. My contact (interviewer) told me about the position and the key elements: Management/Supervision of 40 people. Completing contract documentation and drafting monthly status report. Review and approval of formal contract letters, invoices and related items. Reminder that the Government contracting process was very slow and there were frequent funding issues. We could not work without funding. After the interview quesitons, I was able to ask several questions about the position and the timing of their hiring decision. We wrapped up the interview and I left. I sent a "Thank You" Card to my contact the next day.
