I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at TSA (Transportation Security Administration) in Dec 2015
Interview
I was expecting a long application process, but it actually wasn't too bad compared to other people's experiences. I submitted my application at the end of September 2015 and finished at the end of December 2015. As long as you send them everything they need as fast as you can, things seem to move right along. I felt that everyone was very helpful along the way, and make sure you ask questions along the way. However, my entry on duty date isn't until February, and there are 3 weeks of full time training (the second two are in Glynco, GA). After that there are 4-8 weeks of OTJ training, I believe, depending if you can do part or full time. I'll be part time because I am also going to school. One woman I know who also applied said that they wanted her to take a lift test after the medical test. I was not required to, and I think they decide that based on your medical test. The paperwork can be done online and may take a while, so I suggest starting on it as soon as possible. They may return it to you if it is incomplete, and you only have 21 days after the airport assessment to get it done. You can actually turn it in before the assessment.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview was not hard at all. Simply come prepared with many past experiences in mind and rehearse how you will answer questions about greatest strengths, weaknesses, etc. There were no tricky questions. It was all straightforward. They told me that same day that I had passed, and I also completed several other steps along with other applicants at the airport assessment.

The interview process was pretty easy. Most of the questions are situational questions. Make sure you use the STAR method because this how they will grade you on your interview. Search up STAR method on YouTube and that’ll help.
