A few months ago, I had an interview for a junior position in a department that had two managers, including a younger Taiwanese manager whose last name, if I remember correctly, started with a P. Throughout the interview, it was painfully obvious that this guy was arrogant and condescending. He kept asking things like, "What makes you think you're qualified for this? I don't think you are. Do you really have experience? I don't see it. Why would you use such a dumb approach?" The whole experience was pretty demoralizing and made me feel completely undervalued.
