Recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn for the CED role; we spoke on the phone and it sounded like my experience and comp expectations fit the role nicely. The following week I met with the RVP and the interview went well. She literally said “I think you’re wonderful and am definitely going to recommend that you advance to the next round.” The following week I get a call from the recruiter telling me that my experience aligns with a lower than director level client engagement role and that there are no spots open for that role at the time and that they would contact me in a few months if there was an opening.
