I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tatum (Raleigh, NC) in Jul 2022
Interview
I got contacted by a recruiters at Tatum via LinkedIn massager. I was asked to set up a date and time for a phone conversation regarding an available position. The day before the interview, I tested positive for COVID. However, I got up the following day (even though I was not feeling good), and as I alway do, prepared for my 11:30 AM interview.
The recruiter NEVER called. She also didn’t email to cancel the phone conversation prior to the schedule time.
I contacted her via LinkedIn messenger to asked if she was still planning to talk to me as scheduled, there was not answer. She just decided that my time was of no value.
I proceeded to check her LinkedIn profile and to my surprise she had a recommendation by former manager and described as “young, determine professional”. Her action showed otherwise.
As far as I can tell, Tatum is a recruiting agency and when their recruiters ignore proper rules of professionalism and don’t even show up to appointments requested by them, it shows that Tatum allows poor business practices .
I would have my hesitation next time I get contacted by a recruiter at Tatum.
Received an email to schedule phone screening, during the phone call we discussed standard prescreening questions regarding experience and education. Was told I would receive a call back but never did, followed up with emails and did not receive a response.
