I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tecmo Koei Singapore (Singapore) in Nov 2024
Interview
Had a interview that primarily comprised of taking a test to evaluate my potential abilities for the job. The interviewer was pleasant, but notably very detached.
While it had a few questions whose content I was anticipating, there were a concerning number of questions that required me to translate text into Mandarin Chinese, which was a skill I clearly listed as NOT being something I specialised in my CV.
Although I was ultimately rejected for my Japanese ability being deemed as insufficient, their reasoning was extremely vague. The incident regarding them asking me to perform a task that I was not even aware was required of me also gave me a significant amount of stress and doubt into the quality of the company's communication with the headhunter.
This was also my 3rd interview with Koei Tecmo Singapore in the span of roughly 7 years, and this was easily the most unfulfilling one I have had. Being currently employed, taking leave to attend such interviews is a difficult task for me as my free time is limited, and I wish Koei Tecmo Singapore would have respected that.
