I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Coral Company in Sept 2021
Interview
After three rounds of interviews and a reference check, I was informed that the position I was applying for was no longer available. The person that I was meant to be replacing because of their poor work was going to be staying. The fact that this decision was not finalized prior to starting interviews for this position shows an utter lack of respect for my time. The decision to keep this person is especially confusing because the last person I interviewed with spent most of her time complaining about what a poor job this person had been doing, and rather rudely I might add. I can't imagine this decision is going to work out well for this company.
Also, this position was advertised as work from home, but I was informed that I would need to provide my own equipment to do so. This is not common and should be made clear in the job description.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Coral Company (Cleveland, OH) in Oct 2018
Interview
The process introduced me to multiple Coral team members in varying positions that my position would touch. It started with the company President who set the tone, described the culture and expressed why the company was interested in me. He also made a personal connection up front, which made clear that they were looking for a good team fit vs. simply someone who could do the job. It proceeded through different individuals on the accounting team who could ask questions on functional and knowledge items but also gave individual and unique perspectives on the nature of the company and the job. The interview did a good job of giving me a wider perspective on the company and the role as well as introduced me to individuals with whom I would be working on a regular basis. All of this made my decision easier when the offer came through.
What's a situation you've encountered where you had to confront a team member who made an error? Likewise, how have you dealt with a superior who confronted you with an error?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Coral Company (Cleveland, OH) in Mar 2019
Interview
After an initial screening phone interview, I met with HR and four people from upper management. After moving on in the process, I participated in job-related assessments which were reviewed very quickly. The process was quick, detailed, and comprehensive. Everyone was very professional and engaging, and they spoke very highly of the company's culture and values.
