The recruiter seemed pretty nice, no complaints there! She set me up to talk with one of their tech leads, who asked me some general technical questions and indicated the next step would be a technical interview. However, he noted that I would not be able to receive a senior title, as I had never led a team. There was nothing about that in the job description and I'd have assumed if you wanted people with tech lead experience, you'd hire for a lead engineer, not a senior one, but ok! Didn't hear anything back from them for an entire week, then the recruiter looped back in to make sure I would be okay interviewing for the regular software engineer role. I said yes because it was still within the payband I wanted... so she said great and promised to be in touch. Never heard from them again.
