I had a telephone interview with the vice president of this small company. That was followed by a 1/1 interview with the director of operations. My next 1/1 was with the vice president from the telephone interview. This process took about two weeks.
During each meeting the interviewers talked more about themselves than time asking me questions. They focused on the six jobs I have had in seventeen years, rather than look at the genuine experience I brought to the table. They even allowed two employees to ask questions of me that were obviously pre-planned, and intended to focus on the same thing. Why I was even invited to the second interview, I don't even know.
I was told by the vice president that I needed to "find a home", meaning I needed to stay put with a company. This was after he bragged about the fact that he was in his 60's and had only held three jobs in his life. BUT he had been with The Jungle for less than four years. So I obviously did not take those comments very seriously.
The condition of the facility was questionable. It has clearly shown it's age (18 years), and the Yelp reviews for this place are HORRIBLE. In the end, I am thankful I was not offered this job because I think it would have been a huge mistake for me to become their next General Manager.
