I applied online. I interviewed at The N2 Company (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2015
Interview
SoCal based. Applied online. Phone call with general HR, then phone call with an area manager. I ended up not taking the job because realistically, it's a tough sell in the age of digital marketing. Most magazines offer short 1-3 month minimum ad space contracts, but for n2, you must sell at least a 1 year contract and the pricing is not cheap for the customers. The magazine is very below par in terms of design and content compared to existing magazines in places like California. Dogs and kids just won't cut it for a monthly magazine. Then, like many sales jobs, there is no base pay, so you will spend money on gas, time, expenses like buying coffee with potential clients, ect and most likely not see a paycheck for at least 3-4 months and that's if you are lucky. You also have to pay your own way to Chicago for training for 2 days so you will have to invest another $1500 if you are coming from all the way across the country. If you are going to charge that much for ad space and make a bad magazine, might as well just create your own magazine and make more money. Most companies like the job I took last month are all switching to geo location digital marketing and saving their money from magazine ad print anyways. Just a warning to those who need to make money right now.

Question 1
Have you ever failed at something that you thought you were good at?
Very informative and I felt comfortable the entire time. Angie was very nice and I enjoyed talking with her about the opportunity. She made sure I understood everything and didn't know and didn't mind me asking questions with all the information she gave.
