The National Gallery interview questions

I've been involved in several recruitments for curatorial and education positions. Sincere interest in the arts, audiences and the National Gallery's collection are key for those posts. Very positively, I have never witnessed favouritism, but a really fair, balanced screening and interview process with genuine interest in the candidates.

Panel interview, ghosted and then automatic reply Despite having years of experience at international level and could do the job from day 1, I didn’t get the offer because I don’t fit their agenda. It was good to interview because it made me realise that this place will remain classist and elitist forever. Because I’m foreigner, I felt treated differently during the interview and probably only invited to mock the diversity list. I also felt discriminated and there were misandrists dog whistles said many times during the interviews. You’d think they are professionals at this level of gallery but it was an awful experience. I was also asked questions that had nothing to do with the role
