I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Houston, TX) in Apr 2012
Interview
Initial contact was a brief phone interview. A few days later, they conducted a one on one face to face interview with Pool Manager. There was also a skills assessment to confirm my ability to swim and tread water. I was asked basic questions about my previous work-related experience. Nothing too difficult for me, as this was an entry-level, seasonal position, and I had done very similar work several years ago.
Simple, informal, tour facilities, check certifications. I had to wait a while for interviewer to be ready to see me but once they were ready, the interview was simple and quick. As long as I passed background checks, I had a job offer.
