1. Submitted my resume and cover letter.
2. Heard back within a week by phone, 5 minute conversation about a future phone interview.
3. A week later, first phone interview, 15 minutes. Simple behavioral questions, run down of position's day-to-day. Seemed like they were trying to determine if I was minimally competent. If you research the company, understand the role, and know your own work history well enough to answer behavioral interview questions, then you're golden. Went very well, hiring staff was energetic and down-to-Earth. I was invited to the next round: virtual interview.
4. A week later, virtual interview with a different HR staff. More behavioral interview questions. Felt somewhat like an interrogation, rather than a conversation (unlike the first interview). At the end of the interview I was told that I would hear back in 5-7 business days for the next steps in the process.
4. Within the week, I hear back from the HR team. They invited me to the next round: super day in NYC. I was not able to attend so they accommodated another virtual interview.
5. A week later, virtual super day. The interview was with two analysts who would be doing work related to the job I was applying for. We spent about an hour working through a case brief. It is very much interviewer-guided. Excellent applicants will take charge and lead the interviewer though the case brief, average applicants will follow the interviewer's suggestions and guidance, unsuccessful applicants will fail to understand the case, even with the interviewer's guidance. The interview was enjoyable and went very well. The interviewers told me I would hear back in 5-7 business days.
6. The next day, they called to offer me the position.
