Interview
I Submitted a resume in person after looking through various jobs online. A man in a hawaiian shirt took it from me and we exchanged pleasantries. After some time I was offered an interview in person. Day of I entered the store and was told to wait some time. Later I was asked to follow another man in a hawaiian to a back room, where we sat on folding chairs for maybe 10 minutes. I was asked about previous jobs and a lot about trader joes products. Not being a regular at this chain put me at a disadvantage. But being working professional in a hawaiian shirt is also quite disadvantageous.
It's two to three interviews, the final with the Captain (or highest manager) of the store. The interviews are largely to get to know your personality and how well you would do at customer service.
The interview process was absolutely wonderful! I didn't feel stressed or nervous and it felt like I was just chatting with a friend! Trader Joes is a great company and the interview was great.
Very chill, asked things a lot of job interviews don't, more personal down to earth questions. Made me feel very comfortable. Professional but also cool vibes from everyone who interviewed me. Went to one interview with mates and another with the captain.
