Transcription Express interview questions

After brief introduction, I quickly asked about the pay rate/salary. They start you off at 1.09 per transcribed page, but the most you can make is 1.39 per transcribed page. Note: They want YOU to pay for your own background check at a rate of 70.00. Note: They have it in the job description that if you are hired and you quit or are discharged from the position that you will owe them a 250.00 fee. I believe it was Clark Howard who said that if a company tries to charge you for much of anything before you start working there you should run away. It is likely a scam. This company wants experienced typists that can average over 60wpm, but wants to pay them nearly nothing. Note: For the first two weeks you'll only get 15 minutes of audio to transcribe. This is probably an hour of work at 1.09 per page, good luck surviving!
