It was supposed to be 3 rounds.
1st round was with a backend and a frontend developer. They were friendly and it was more like a discussion where they gave a problem and helped me through out to solve it.
2nd round was with product architect. He asked some questions related to the role but then went into the security aspects of the protocol. He spend a good 10 mins asking how is http different than https and the working of it. I mentioned that the data is encrypted but he wanted a detailed explanation of that with the ssl certification and then asked me how can someone hack a website. It became more of a security role interview.
But the biggest turnoff was when we asked my expected CTC. Being a technical interview, i don't think, he was supposed to ask that or I don't know how they operate.
But someone else has also posted their interview experience that they got turned down after mentioning their expected CTC, so I knew where this was going.
My expected CTC was in the range which they have mentioned in their job description.
As they have not given any feedback regarding the interview so, I don't know what might have happened but asking salary questions in a technical interview is not a good take on the whole process and seems like they just want to waste the candidate's time.
