      Marketing Associate Interview

      12 Mar 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at True Action (New York, NY) in Mar 2013

      Interview

After a brief phone screen (10 minutes into the call, the recruiter said I would be moving to the final round), True Action booked a train for me to attend an on-site interview day in early March. The event went from Friday to Saturday. On Friday, we attended an evening meet-and-greet with True Action employees and other Marketing Associate candidates. On Saturday, we had four one-on-one interviews with different members of the True Action team as well as two hour-long group projects with 30 minute presentations. Twenty-four hours after the interview, we were required to send an email indicating our interest in True Action, why we would be a good fit, and which office we would like to be in. At this stage, I withdrew my name from additional consideration.

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at True Action (New York, NY) in Mar 2013

      Interview

I applied through my career services website and had a half hour phone screening interview. I was informed about a week or two weeks later that I was invited to their final round interviews in NYC. Like others have said, it was a two day interview super day from Friday into Saturday. Friday was a hour long cocktail hour followed by dinner. The ratio at the table for candidate to employee was 1:1, which was cool. I would estimate there were about thirty candidates there. The next day there were four one on one interviews, two strategy proposals, and a couple presentations. I absolutely loved the culture and hearing about the opportunity. Yes it was a long day, but everyone I spoke with was very engaging and was willing to answer any questions I had. I left the experience feeling very eager to join the team.
