Interview
The interview for a scientist role at the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) typically follows a structured, competency-based format aligned with the Civil Service Success Profiles. Candidates are assessed on key behaviours such as “Delivering at Pace,” “Making Effective Decisions,” and “Working Together,” often through scenario-based questions. In addition to behavioural questions, candidates may be required to demonstrate their scientific knowledge through a technical task or presentation relevant to the role. Using the STAR method to structure responses and clearly linking experience to the role’s responsibilities is essential for success.
