Have to take a few test to ensure you graduated high school. Also have to get a lot of medical checkups to ensure you are fit to join the service. Rah.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at US Marine Corps (Ypsilanti, MI) in Jan 2012
Interview
There were no real interviews. The recruiters were pretty nice, although they will tell you anything to get you to sign. I wanted a few select jobs and did not get any of those options so i settled on the only thing they offered me: air traffic control. It actually was a blessing in disguise. Recruiters will drive you to wherever you need to go and also do meetings at your house if you prefer. Always professional and you can get a lot of information from them.
terrible, do not recommend. terrible atmosphere. terrible communication does not care about employees. will lie about whatever to get you to accept their offer. do not join the military unless you really don't care bout your mental or physical state
I applied in-person. The process took 9 months. I interviewed at US Marine Corps

it was a nightmare because they were so pushy then once they knew they had me, they didn't care about me and treated me as if i was in the corps already.
