I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Tampa, FL) in Jan 2016
Interview
It's a high-turn-over-rate job, so you'll probably be in a room of 20+ people and USPS will be looking for as many positions to fill; not a super-competitive job.
One-by-one, you'll do a standard closed-door interview and they'll ask easy questions about how you've gained each value or skill on their checklist.
You'll get an email 1-3 weeks later asking you to do a bunch of other things like a drug test and whatnot; when you pass those, they'll schedule your training and you're on your way.
Start to finish, it took me about two months before I was fully-trained and hitting the streets to deliver.

Question 1
Q: Give me an example of how you've come to acquire the rigorous work ethic that we demand of our carriers
No interview. Received an email with a job offer and orientation was scheduled a few weeks later. Called the postmaster on the job listing to get more information in between the offer and orientation.

Question 1
No questions were asked as there was not an interview process.
Not really an interview. If you pass the background check you have the job. The United States Postal Service does not require a traditional interview. Very easy. I love it here.
I applied online. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Spokane, WA)
Interview
There was no interview. I pretty much just took a test and they sent me back a conditional offer. When I got to my orientation with 3 other people they all had the same experience.
