Application
I applied online. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Washington, DC) in Sept 2014
Interview
Applied via USPS career website (basic application and Resume upload). Got an email 4-6 months later prompting me to schedule a postal exam at a designated facility near my hometown. Took and passed exam, then got an email several weeks later to schedule a urinalysis. After passing the drug test as well as a background test, I was invited to a face-to-face interview.
These were mass interview sessions in a room of about 50 people. We were told more about the job duties as a class, then interviewed one-on-one with one of the managers. Questions were straight forward, yet pointless for the job. About a week or two later I received an email that I was selected and to come in for processing.
Honestly, the interview was a waste of time.I feel as though they hire about 80% of the people who actually go through this drawn out process and show up to the mass interview.

Easy I just sat down with the post master and we talked for 20 minutes. Not many questions where asked besides why I wanted to work for the post office.
