I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at UTair (Ufa, Bashkortostan) in Sept 2009
Interview
First day included telephone interview with recruiter who asked basic questions about education, age, experience, knowledge of foreign languages, attended courses. Additionally interviewer inquired about weight, height, and size of the clothes. Then, if the applying person qualified for the certain criteria, recruiter asked to fill an application in person, and come with pack of needed documents on the next day for a group/panel interview. During the second day, representatives of the company checked the documents along with application and asked to say a few words about oneself in front of the commission. The commission included manager, flight captains, flight pilots, and flight attendants from sixth UTair flight detachment in Ufa. Group/ panel interview (aka casting) contained couple of specific questions for every applying person. The results of recruitment process were introduced on the next day. Those, who passed the first stage of interviews (phone interview and group interview), were assigned to do a drug test, and series of specialized medical tests intended for flight personnel. It takes about a month to finish this process.
