I applied for the Digital Marketing Operations Coordinator position.
During the interview, I was asked to complete a live design task. I normally use Figma and Photoshop, I was required to use Canva (basic free version) . I was expected to complete the task using only a laptop touchpad, and a computer mouse was provided only after I explicitly asked for one.
Additionally, the assignment was based on a "Japanese Food Festival." A few months later, this exact campaign went live on their LinkedIn page. Standard recruitment practices require interview tasks to be based on past or hypothetical scenarios, not upcoming commercial projects.
I do not recommend applying for digital or design roles at this organisation.
