      Food Server Interview

      27 Jul 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Universal City, CA
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Universal Studios (Universal City, CA) in Aug 2024

      Interview

Checked in about 10 minutes earlier than appointment time given, but because of how many interviews ahead of me I still had to wait an additional two hours to be interviewed. Right there and then they tell you whether or not you got the job and if you do then you continue on to do online training in a nearby office they have onsite. If you get offered the job the process does take a while and they take your ID picture that you won’t be able to retake ever again, just a heads up!

      Interview

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Interview for a server position for Citywalk. 1st interview great! Very nice guy with a great attitude. 2nd part of the interview was for management. When my name was called I went to shake his hand and smile he no reaction at all. Once he saw I wasn't Latino and didn't speak spanish it was all down hill from there. They just batter you with the stupidest questions imaginable that had nothing to do with being a server. He read all the questions off a script. Had nothing to say, no reaction to anything, no smile no nothing. He was not amused and super creepy. I hope I don't get a call back because I wouldn't work for this company. This is a theme park and it's suppose to be a good time. You can't provide a good time to people you are serving if your not having a good time yourself. If this is any indication of management, this is not for me. I would not consider working for a creepy sour face manager. If you want a place just to make money and you don't care about being happy. Go for it. I'm not that desperate for a job.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Did you ever contribute something at work that changed policy or the company? ( this was one of the better questions) BUT AGAIN IS THIS A QUESTION TO ASK A SERVER???!!!! You get the idea of where this is going. Then a few usuals like how would you handle a rude customer? Did you ever have a problem with management? ECT.
