Interview
The interview process is highly dependent on who your professor is, but for the most part overall was pretty straightforward. There was only one interview with the professor, and it had no surprising or out of the blue questions.
During the interview, candidates can expect to answer questions that assess their qualifications, teaching ability, and understanding of educational concepts. Some common interview questions include:
1. Why do you want to work as a teaching assistant? This question allows candidates to express their passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to supporting students.
2. What are your strengths and weaknesses as a teaching assistant? This question allows candidates to reflect on their own strengths and weaknesses, as well as demonstrate self-awareness.
3. Describe a time when you had to handle a difficult situation with a student. This question assesses candidates' ability to remain calm, patient, and effective in difficult situations.
