      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ValueCentric (Buffalo, NY) in Apr 2015

There was a HR round followed by a technical round. The interviewers were extremely nice. I was extremely nervous to start with, but they made me feel very comfortable, so everything fell into place from there on.

      Question 1

      1. What are the current projects you are working on? 2. Few questions just to test my familiarity with Linux, SQL and PL/SQL.

      Software Engineer I Interview

      1 Aug 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Brooklyn, NY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ValueCentric (Brooklyn, NY) in Jun 2015

      Interview

Got a call from the HR. I was sure I failed to impress because I'm not good at talking about myself, but they set me up with another technical screening anyway. That went fine. Had a third interview with the team via hangouts, annnnnnnd never heard from them after that. Although they said they'd get back to me in a week or so. Even went so far as to tell me I had a leg up compared to other candidates. Didn't even get a formal rejection or ANYTHING. During the third screening, one of them dropped an F-bomb. It was kinda off-putting. Not a very professional experience.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Mostly they talked about how they roll, then asked me to explain most of my experience and how long I'd take to learn new stuff. -A single question on OOP about method overriding. -Describe one of my projects and how was the experience. -Would I change anything in the project. -Describe MVC architecture, what is the difference between extracting data in the model layer and manipulating it in the same method as opposed to extracting data in model and manipulating it in the controller. Which would I prefer. -Define Web development. -What is a jQuery "selector" That's it.
