I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Versa Creative (Houston, TX) in Sept 2022
Interview
Applied online and had one interview in person with senior employees. Overall it seemed like a great opportunity for entry-level employees to gain experience and build their capabilities. The company seemed to be growing.

What was a project with the fastest turnaround time?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Versa Creative (Houston, TX) in Mar 2019
Interview
It was prompt setp and feed back. I did a 15 minutes over the phone interview and then a 1 hour in person interview. Good question but some were tough. Overall positive experience.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Versa Creative (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2022
Interview
Long story short this company seems scammy. I received an email from them saying they were looking for Digital Project Managers. At first I thought I had applied and they were responding to my application but they weren’t on the list of companies I applied to. It was weird because I’ve had several companies reach out to me but it’s only been through LinkedIn, they never emailed directly. But I Googled the company and it looked legit so I said I’m interested and I received a job brief and directions to schedule a first meeting. Now the job brief said it was hourly pay and they were looking for 40hrs but the hourly pay rate would’ve put this job over $100k a year which was kind of a flag because most Associate Creative PM roles max out at $75k but I figured I’d at least get through the first interview. However the interview was held over chat. I had to create an account with a company called Lark which is a major program companies use for internal communication and it was overkill to me because I then had to add their employee so they could chat with me. Like why not use Slack and send me an invite? Anyway I couldn’t figure out the program so I wasn’t sure if I added them right but at 6pm EST I saw they had replied and I sent a message apologizing for missing them assuming we’d pick things up the next day but they did reply and said the interview could start now. I figured it’d be 20-30 minutes tops so I accepted but it took TWO HOURS. I assumed it’d be a pre-screening interview but it felt more like a technical interview, you know interview 2 out of 3. Typing out my answers took a while and I felt rushed to now give too much detail and at one point they disappeared for 20 minutes. If that wasn’t strange enough another flag was they said I’d have to purchase a second phone and iPad Pro which they’d reimburse once I do but why not just send me one? Why do I have to pay for it? The other PM roles I’ve been interviewing for said they’d give me money for any tech needed, not reimburse me after. The whole thing was super sketch. Oh but the best part is I was told they’d follow up the next day and they completely ghosted me. But, honestly, the thing I feel most bad for is they asked for references and I gave them 2 and now I’m worried they added them to some sketchy spam marketing list or something.

Question 1
Describe a time a project fell behind on budget or time. What steps did you take to mitigate the situation?
I'm sorry that this happened, and this is a scam from people that are not affiliated with Versa Creative in any way.
We are currently working to understand and resolve this issue so we can prevent this from happening.
Again, we apologize for your experience as our hiring and onboarding process is much more professional and does not look like the one you have described.
