Vibenomics interview questions

After hearing about the technology and seed funding for this company, I was excited to have the opportunity to interview for a role they said they were looking to fill very quickly. I was living out of state at the time and flew back at the last minute on my own dime for a rushed in-person final round interview to accomodate the CEO's schedule. What I thought was going to be an interview ended up being a glorified consulting conversation where the "interview" became less about me and my qualifications and more of the CEO (with others present) quizzing me on how the company could "break into" an industry I am very familiar with. After the interview concluded and I returned home, I was unceremoniously told that well, at this time they actually did not want to fill the role after all. This was incredibly disappointing, as I had used PTO and paid for my own flights to accomodate their schedule. I cannot speak for the culture of this company, but if this is how interviewees are treated, it left a bad taste in my mouth.
